2018 PhD Scholarships in Materials Research at University of Huddersfield, UK

The University of Huddersfield is offering Scholarship for all UK and EU citizens. This joint fully-funded PhD project will focus on the fabrication and testing of metal-semiconductor materials for photocathode applications, to identify materials and preparation techniques that optimise material performance.

The University of Huddersfield is a public university located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It has been a University since 1992 but has its origins in a series of institutions dating back to the 19th century.

For applicants whose first language or language of instruction is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification (the minimum of IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable).

Scholarship Description:

• Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme.
• Study Subject: This joint fully-funded PhD project will focus on the fabrication and testing of metal-semiconductor materials for photocathode applications, to identify materials and preparation techniques that optimise material performance.
• Scholarship Award: This scholarship attracts a three year, tax-free stipend of £14,777 per year (for 2018/19) payable every four weeks and covers tuition fees for three years

• Eligible Countries: This scholarship is open to all UK and EU citizens.
• Entrance Requirements: Applicants should hold or expect to obtain a First Class or Upper Second Class (2:1) honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• English Language Requirements: For applicants whose first language or language of instruction is not English you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification (the minimum of IELTS 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable).
