Access Scholarships for EU Students at GMIT in Ireland, 2018

GMIT is offering Access Scholarship Programme for EU students. The university will award twelve scholarships to the value of €5,000 each to successful applicants, in increments, over the duration of the programme of study.

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology is a third level institute of education and is based at five locations in the west of Ireland.

The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: May 15, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue the courses offered by the university.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.
  • Scholarship Award: GMIT has developed an Access Scholarship Programme to award twelve scholarships to the value of €5,000 each to successful applicants, in increments, over the duration of the programme of study.
  • Number of Scholarships: GMIT awards up to twelve financial scholarships.
  • Scholarship can be taken in Ireland

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: EU citizens are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: A candidate must satisfy the following conditions:
    Be an EU citizen attending/or having attended one of the designated schools.
    Have taken the Leaving Certificate exams within the last two years.
    Be a current applicant for a GMIT programme through the CAO and satisfy the general and specific criteria for entry.
    Have family income under the current threshold for the third-level maintenance grant scheme.
    Be supported by an academic reference from his/her school.
  • English Language Requirements: The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

Application Procedure:

  • Compliance with conditions specified at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 above.
  • Leaving Certificate points within 50 points of the first round cut-off point for the chosen programme.
  • Completed application form.
  • Academic reference.
  • Interest, knowledge and commitment to the chosen programme.
