KBS Taught Postgraduate Scholarships for EU Students at University of Limerick in Ireland, 2018-2019

­The new KBS Taught Postgraduate Scholarships are open for the 2018/2019 academic year. The scholarships will be awarded to EU applicants who have applied online to the University of Limerick for a full-time taught postgraduate programme.

The University of Limerick (UL), is located on the west coast of Ireland along the picturesque River Shannon and enjoys an unspoiled natural environment blended with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities. UL was awarded prestigious 5-star rankings for graduate employability, innovation and knowledge transfer, teaching, engagement, internationalisation and infrastructure by QS Stars independent assessors.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Application Deadline: June 8, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Postgraduate taught programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are available across all KBS taught postgraduate programmes.
  • Scholarship Award: KBS scholarships (available across all KBS taught postgraduate programmes) are valued at €2,000 each. The successful applicant will receive the scholarship in the form of reduced fees.
  • Nationality: Students from EU countries are eligible to apply.
  • Number of Scholarships: Up to 10 scholarships are available.
  • Scholarship can be taken in Ireland

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

Eligible Countries: Students from EU countries are eligible to apply: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

The scholarships will be awarded to EU applicants who have applied online to the University of Limerick for a full-time taught postgraduate programme for the 2018/19 academic year, by 5 pm on 15th June 2018.

Applicants who have already applied online are eligible to apply. Applicants should have a

  • First class honours primary degree (1.1) (Level 8 – NQAI) or
  • Second Class Honours Grade 1 (2h1) primary degree (Level 8 – NQAI)

{In exceptional cases Second Class Honours Grade 2 (2h2) primary degree (Level 8 – NQAI) will be considered}

Applicants must also

  • Satisfy the entry requirements for the University of Limerick taught postgraduate programme they intend to undertake and have applied online for this programme at www.ul.ie by 5 pm on the 18th June 2018.

Ineligibility

The scholarships are not open to those who have already commenced a postgraduate programme. Applicants for Research Masters programmes are not eligible. Students interested in research programmes should consult the UL webpage www.ul.ie for information on research scholarships. The scholarship may not be used in conjunction with any additional University of Limerick scholarship, fee waiver or other direct or indirect financial assistance programme.

English Language Requirements: The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

How to Apply: Application Process

  • Please complete the online application form and email any relevant supporting documentation to postgraduate admissions before 17h00 on the 15th June 2018.
  • The successful applicants will be notified in late June by post and details will also be posted to the Graduate School website. The applicant will not receive a payment from the University of Limerick. The scholarship will be deducted from the course fee at the start of the autumn semester.
