Minto Scholarships at University of Edinburgh in UK, 2018

The University of Edinburgh is inviting applications for Minto Scholarships. These scholarships are available only to applicants who are residents of Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. Each scholarship covers tuition fees and maintenance of £17,000 per year for the full three years of study.

The Minto Scholarship has been established with a bequest from the estate of Mr Brian Dickinson for the purpose of promoting postgraduate research in economics at the University of Edinburgh.

The University of Edinburgh is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities. The university is deeply embedded in the fabric of the city of Edinburgh, with many of the buildings in the historic Old Town belonging to the university.

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

• Eligible Countries: Scholarships are available only to applicants who are residents of Canada, Autralia, New Zealand and Scandanavia.
• Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have a masters in economics and applications will be judged on academic merit, research statement and fit with the research interests of the School of Economics. Those wishing to be considered for this award should indicate this on their application form when applying for the programme of study.
• English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.
