240 International Postgraduate Taught Scholarships at Newcastle University in UK, 2018

The Newcastle University is pleased to offer 40 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships and 200 partial Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international students to study an undergraduate degree or postgraduate Master’s degree.

Newcastle University (officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England.

Students need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. English will be the main language you use socially and for study. If English is not their first language they will need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification.

Scholarship Description: 

• Application Deadline: January 31, 2018, April 27 2018 and June 29, 2018
• Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
• Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the subjects offered by the university.
• Scholarship Award:Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships: £1,500 – £5,000 tuition fee awards
• Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships – Postgraduate: There are 38 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 100% tuition fee scholarships.
• Postgraduate Master’s Loan Scheme: UK government non means-tested loans of up to £10,609 are available for UK nationals undertaking Master’s courses in the 2018-19 academic year.
• Nationality: Students from being a national of one of the following countries: China, USA, Canada, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco and India.
• Number of Scholarships: Up to 240 scholarships are eligible.Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships: 200 in total (undergraduate and postgraduate courses)
• Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships – Postgraduate: 40 scholarships
• Scholarship can be taken in the UK

• Eligible Countries: Students from be a national of one of the following countries: China, USA, Canada, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco and India.

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:

• Be a national of one of the following countries: China, USA, Canada, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco
• Be assessed as international for fee purposes
• Hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2018/19 academic year

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:

• Be a national of the following country(*): India
• Be assessed as international for fee purposes
• Hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2018/19 academic year

(*) Scholarships for the following countries have now been allocated and you are no longer able to apply: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda.
