UK and EU students who have already applied for a full-time masters degree programme in any subject offered by the University starting in 2015-2016 can apply for this scholarship, and must receive an offer of a place by 30th June in order to be considered.
Award
Each scholarship will have a value of £10,000. These awards will be tenable for one academic year and will automatically be deducted from your tuition fee with any remaining funds being awarded towards living costs following confirmation of your enrolment.
Eligibility
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring a first-class or upper second-class (2:1) honours degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent.
Only applicants liable for the UK/EU rate of tuition fee are eligible to apply.
Applicants accepted on a part-time or online distance learning programme are not eligible to apply.
Students who are already on programme are not eligible to apply.
Only applicants who have received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) on the closing date of the scholarship will be considered by the panel.
Applying
To apply for a scholarship you must first apply for admission for an eligible programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.
Once you have applied for admission you will receive your University Username (UUN). Your UUN is the letter ‘s’ followed by seven digits; for example, s0987654. Only applicants who have received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) on the closing date of the scholarship will be considered by the panel.
Eligible students should complete an online scholarship application before the application deadline of Tuesday 30th June 2015. Please note that applicants who have already applied for the UK/EU Master’s Scholarship for 2015-2016 session do not need to apply again. We will automatically consider your earlier application.

Selection Procedure
A Selection Committee will meet in early July 2015 to select the scholarship holders. All applicants will be notified by 24th July 2015.
