Auckland University of Technology is offering achiever scholarship for students enrolling for the first time, in a full-time degree programme of study at AUT South campus. The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of three years subject to the student passing all papers and maintaining a C+ average during their course of study. Academic progress will be monitored each semester. The application deadline is 1 September 2015

Eligibility: To apply for this scholarship
-Applicants must be NZ Citizens or permanent residents.
-Applicants must be currently studying at a targeted Auckland South School.
-Applicants must be enrolling for the first time, in a full-time degree programme of study at AUT South campus and will be asked to provide their AUT Student ID in the box provided on the application form.
-Applicants must be contributing to their school or community or be active in cultural pursuits or sport at a representative level.
-Applicants will be expected to obtain University Entrance and will have as a minimum, one of the following: NCEA 220 rank score; CIE 180 rank score and IB Principal’s predicted score 27.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Scholarship is available for New Zealand Citizens or permanent residents.
Scholarship Description: Auckland University of Technology (AUT) has established undergraduate scholarships to reward student academic achievement and contribution to their school and community. As well as recognising academic achievement AUT South Achiever Scholarships will recognise potential leadership ability or contribution to the school, community or cultural pursuits, or sport at a representative level. The recipients of this scholarship must enrol at the AUT South Campus for at least the first year of their degree.
Number of award(s): Auckland University of Technology awards up to ten scholarships annually.
Duration of award(s): The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of three years subject to the student passing all papers and maintaining a C+ average during their course of study. Academic progress will be monitored each semester.
What does it cover?
-A contribution towards fees of $6,000 per annum to support full-time study (120pts per annum) at AUT
-Any additional fees will need to be met by the student. It is important that scholars make arrangements to cover any additional costs relating to their enrolment.
Selection Criteria: The University Scholarships Committee will ratify all offers of scholarship. The University Scholarships Committee will ratify all offers of scholarship and conditional offers will be made before December of the year prior to study.

How to Apply: Applicants must apply through the on-line AUT Scholarship application portal. Applicants will be required to upload:
-A one-page personal statement explaining their reasons for wishing to attend AUT South Campus, the academic goals they hope to achieve while there and why they believe they merit the scholarship. The personal statement should also include an outline of contributions to their school or community.
-A current certified copy of their NCEA, CIE or IB record of achievement. IB students must obtain a predicted IB grade from their Principal or Principal’s nominee.
-The applicant must request a letter of recommendation from their Principal or Principal’s nominee through the on-line portal. If they are studying IB this should include the Principal’s predicted IB score. Nominated referees will be sent an email from the application portal Community Force.
All documentation must be received by the closing date inclusive of reference statements or the application will not be able to be submitted and will be considered ineligible.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 1 September 2015.
Note: Applications will be available from late July.
