The Paul Desmarais Center for the Study of French Culture is offering research scholarships at the Hebrew University. These scholarships are awarded to M.A., PhD and postdoctoral students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law. Successful applicant will receive ca 10,000 NIS. The application deadline is October 7, 2015.

Eligibility: MA, PhD and postdoctoral students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Applicants from Israel can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The Paul Desmarais Center for the Study of French Culture invites MA, PhD and post-doctoral students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law at the Hebrew University to apply for research scholarships (of ca 10,000 NIS each) on topics related to Literature, Culture and Thought in France and in the Francophone Worlds.

What does it cover? Successful applicant will receive ca 10,000 NIS.

How to Apply: Applications should be submitted in English by e-mail to efscholarships-at-savion.huji.ac.il. At the end of the year, recipients are to submit a paper of approximately 30 pages in English, summarizing the results of their work, approved by a senior faculty member and ready for publication. The research scholarship receivers will state the support of the Paul Desmarais Center in the working paper and in any other publication resulting from this project. The application should contain the following documents:
-Application form
-CV
-Description of the research topic, its purpose and anticipated results (max. 2 pages)
-Description of the state of research, exemplified by a short bibliographical list (max. 4 pages)
-List of publications (if relevant(
-Record of studies
-Recommendation of a senior faculty member will be sent by the recommender directly to efscholarships-at-savion.huji.ac.il.
