University of Auckland is inviting applications for Weston scholarship for honours or masters Students. The Scholarship may be held concurrently with any other award or grant as long as a) the terms of that award or grant permit and b) the University of Auckland Council is informed and approves. Eligibility: -The Scholarship is tenable by domestic and international students.
-The Scholarship will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics (or nominee), the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, and one representative of the Donor.
-The Scholarship will be paid as a tuition fees credit or as a contribution to course-related cost.
-The Scholarship may be held concurrently with any other award or grant as long as a) the terms of that award or grant permit and b) the University of Auckland Council is informed and approves.
Scholarship Open for International Students: New Zealand and international students can apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The Scholarship was established in 2010 and is funded by the Weston family. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support students pursuing an honours or masters degree in accounting or finance at the University of Auckland Business School. Preference will be given to those who are studying the domestic or international financial markets; New Zealand.
Number of award(s): 1 scholarship is offered.
Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for two years.
What does it cover? One Scholarship will be awarded annually for a period of up to two years, and will be of the value of up to $5,000 per annum.
Selection criteria: The basis of selection will be academic merit and participation in the co-curricular life of the Faculty of Business and Economics as undergraduate student e.g. SAVVY, outreach activities of student clubs or equivalent social outreach initiatives.
Notification: Approximately six weeks after the closing date by letter or email.
