Fulbright Foreign Student Program for Iraqi Students

Applications are invited for Fulbright Foreign Student Program from Iraqi students. The Fulbright scholarship will fund up to two years of study at the master’s degree level at a US university. The program provides funding for tuition, round-trip international travel, living stipends, and health insurance. Iraqis, both men and women from all parts of the country who have outstanding academic records and work experience are urged to apply. The applications will be open from April 1, 2016.

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship is a well known fellowship program for experienced professionals from designated countries undergoing development or political transition. It is a non-degree program. Participants may complete academic coursework at their host universities to update their academic and professional knowledge in their field, but they do not receive an academic degree as a result of their participation in the Program. The ten months fellowship is provided to cover many expenses. Application deadlines vary by country.

Fulbright-SERN Scholarship for Timor-Leste

The United States Embassy in Dili is offering 2016 Fulbright – SERN Graduate Scholarship program. Applications are invited from resident nationals of Timor-Leste for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program Scholarships for 2016-2017. Successful candidates will receive up to two years of graduate-level studies at some of the finest higher learning institutions in the United States. The application deadline is August 25, 2015.

East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship at University of Hawai

Applications are invited for East-West Center graduate degree fellowship. Fellowship is available for students from Asia, the Pacific and the USA to participate in the educational, residential and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawai. The center will provide funding for up to 24 months for Master’s or Doctoral degree study to cover the cost of tuition and fees, books, housing in an East-West Center dormitory and health insurance. Partial funding toward meals and incidental expenses will also available. The application deadline is November 1, 2015.

William Fulbright Foreign Student Program Scholarship

The U.S. Embassy is offering William Fulbright Graduate Scholarship Program for citizens of Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu. The scholarship pays for up to two years of graduate study in the United States. The application deadline is May 29 every year.

United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program (USSP)

Applications are invited for United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program (USSP) which is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Up to three scholarships will be available for studies to begin in August 2016. These scholarships are awarded to academically talented individuals from South Pacific countries to pursue bachelor’s or master’s degree study at US institutions. The application deadline is February 1, 2016 for awards beginning in early August 2016.

East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship at University of Hawai

Applications are invited for East-West Center graduate degree fellowship. MMMF Grants for Women of Developing Countries

Applications are invited for MMMF grants available for women applicants of developing countries to pursue their degree in the USA and Canada. Applicants must enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the full academic year in which the application is submitted and intend to be enrolled for the subsequent year covered by the grant. An MMMF grant covers only a portion of the total costs for an academic year. Therefore, applicants need to access other financial resources. The grant application runs from15 September 2015 to 16 January 2016.

AAUW International Fellowships for Women

Applications are invited for AAUW International Fellowships available for women who are not US citizens or permanent residents. The program provides support for one year of graduate or postgraduate study at US institutions. Preference is given to women who show prior commitment to the advancement of women and girls through civic, community, or professional work. A limited number of awards are available to women who are members of the International Federation of University Women for study in any country other than their own. The application deadline is December 1, 2015.

Rotary Peace Fellowships for International Students

The Rotary Foundation awards up to 100 fully funded academic fellowships for the citizens from around the world. Two types of peace fellowships are available i.e. master and professional development certificate fellowships. The master programs last 15­–24 months and require a practical internship of 2–3 months during the academic break at premier universities in Australia, UK, Sweden, Japan and USA. The professional development certificate program is a 3-month program which incorporates 2–3 weeks of field study. These Rotary Peace fellowships will be awarded in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention. Applications for 2017-18 fellowships will be available 1 December.
