The Imagineering Institute (funded by the Malaysian government) is offering a research fellowship for postdoctoral fellows. The research undertaken should focus on the areas of mixed reality, virtual reality, multisensory communication, Internet of Things, pervasive computing, or entertainment computing, etc. The candidate should be at ease at multi-tasking and working on multiple research projects simultaneously. Successful candidate will receive an excellent international level remuneration package. Furthermore, he or she may be eligible for the 15% tax rate scheme for knowledge workers in Iskandar.

Eligibility: The candidate must hold a doctoral degree and have received training in the following disciplines: Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Psychology, etc. She or he should have experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. The candidate is required to have a firm command of English.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply for this research fellowship.

Scholarship Description: The Imagineering Institute is a new research lab funded by the Malaysian government, with the vision “Invent the Future of Internet” It is a collaboration with City University London, Osaka University Japan, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Multimedia University (MMU). They invite applications for Research Fellows (Post-Doctoral Fellows). Successful candidates will work with Professor Adrian David Cheok, a world renowned inventor and scientist famous for his pioneering work in mixed reality and multisensory communication.

Selection Criteria: The Institute is looking for people who are able to do visionary and quantum step research. They should be highly creative, excited to explore the future and make radical inventions.
