Australian Spinal Cord Injury Network Ltd is offering a PhD scholarship in the area of bowel and bladder research for people with spinal cord injury. This award is to be used for living expenses and will be paid fortnightly. Both part-time and full-time awards will be considered. In exceptional circumstances the award may be extended for an additional six months (F/T) or 12 months (P/T). The application deadline is 11th of September, 2015.

Eligibility: The PhD Scholarship is designed to attract qualified and promising medical researchers, medical graduates, biological science graduates and scientists, nurses and other health professionals to give them the opportunity to undertake a PhD in this particular area of spinal cord injury research.

Scholarship Description: The Australian Spinal Cord Injury Network Ltd. (ASCIN) is offering a PhD Scholarship through the Kevin Hortle Scholarship Fund to support research that aims to improve bowel and/or bladder function for people with a spinal cord injury. The PhD Scholarship is designed to attract qualified and promising medical researchers, medical graduates, biological science graduates and scientists, nurses and other health professionals and give them the opportunity to undertake a PhD in the area of bowel and bladder research for people with spinal cord injury.

Number of award(s): There is a PhD scholarship available in the area of bowel and bladder research for people with spinal cord injury.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship will be paid fortnightly. In exceptional circumstances the award may be extended for an additional six months (F/T) or 12 months (P/T).

What does it cover? The value of the scholarship will be determined by the latest postgraduate award rates as specified by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training’s Australian Post Graduate Awards. This award is to be used for living expenses and will be paid fortnightly. Both part-time and full-time awards will be considered.
