Murdoch University is offering up to 14 engineering scholarships of $6000.00 to 14 domestic applicants. These scholarships are awarded to study Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in either Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering or Environmental Engineering in Semester 1 2016. The value of each scholarship is $6,000. The application deadline is 30th September 2015.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the award, applicants:
-Must be an Australian citizen, an Australian Permanent Residency Visa holder or a New Zealand citizen.
-Have a West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) or equivalent and an ATAR score or International Baccalaureate Diploma result within the last 12 calendar months from the closing date of the award.
-Must have a predicted or achieved ATAR of 80 (or equivalent).
-Must have applied to study the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Chemical and Metallurgical (TISC Code MUMEM) or Environmental Engineering (TISC Code: MUNEE) at Murdoch University course through TISC.
-Have either the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering (TISC Code: MUMEM) or Environmental Engineering (TISC Code: MUNEE).

Scholarship Description: The School of Engineering and Information Technology will be awarding scholarships of $6000.00 to 14 domestic applicants commencing in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in either Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering or Environmental Engineering in Semester 1 2016.

Number of award(s): Up to 14 scholarships will be awarded.

Duration of award(s): Subject to the terms and conditions of the award being met throughout the scholarship recipients study at Murdoch University, the $6,000 award is paid in three equal instalments of AU$2,000 each directly to a nominated recipient’s bank account over three consecutive years calendar years. In other words, for those that commence their study in Semester 1 2016: The first $2,000 instalment will be paid after the Semester 1 2016 census date; The second $2,000 instalment will be paid after the Semester 1 2017 census date ; and The third $2,000 instalment will be paid after the Semester 1 2018 census dates in each of the first three consecutive calendar years of study at Murdoch University. For those who are approved to defer the commencement of their scholarship to Semester 2 2016, the scholarship will be paid in three equal instalments after the Semester 2 census dates in each of the first three consecutive calendar years of study at Murdoch ( also subject to the recipients meeting the Terms and Conditions of the awards).

What does it cover? The value of each scholarship is $6,000.

Selection Criteria: Applicants will be assessed based on the published eligibility criteria. If the number of eligible applications exceeds the number of awards that can be granted, award applicants will be ranked and awards made based on highest ATAR scores or IB equivalents in the first instance and then by recommended subjects followed by English competence levels.
