Applications are invited for O.P Jindal Group Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS) from top 100 students from India’s 40 prestigious institutes. 100 scholarships shall be awarded. Each Engineering institute can have maximum of 4 scholarships of INR 80, 000 each while each Management institute can have a maximum of 2 scholarships of INR 1, 50, 000 each. The last date of submitting nominations is 13th August 2015.

-Engineering Program: First three Toppers of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year based on the academic performance in the previous years (CGPA) of Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering streams
-Management Program: First 10 toppers of 2nd year based on the academic performance in the first year of regular PGDM/ MBA

Scholarship Description: O.P Jindal Group, a US $18 billion global business conglomerate, on 4th August, 2015 announced the launch of its scholarship programme “OPJEMS 2015”. The annual scholarship programme awards the top 100 students from India’s 40 prestigious institutes from the management and engineering sphere. The scholarship will be open for registration on 7th August, 2015 onwards. O.P Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS) is aimed at promoting academic and leadership excellence and is awarded to meritorious students who have the potential to become leaders in entrepreneurial excellence and innovation. This scholarship programme is an inspiration from the vision and values of perseverance, humility, entrepreneurship of Shri. O.P Jindal, the founder of the O.P Jindal Group. All four group companies namely Jindal Saw Ltd., JSW group, Jindal Stainless Limited and Jindal Steel and Power jointly conduct and organise OPJEMS.
Number of award(s): 100 scholarships shall be awarded. Each Engineering institute can have maximum of 4 scholarships, while each Management institute can have a maximum of 2 scholarships.

What does it cover? Yearly Scholarship Amount is as follows:
-INR 1, 50, 000 for each Management Students
-INR 80, 000 for each Engineering Students
Selection Criteria: For the Engineering segment, first three Toppers of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year based on the academic performance in the previous years (CGPA) of Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering streams are eligible for the scholarships. For the managerial program first 10 toppers of 2nd year are eligible based on the academic performance in the first year of regular PGDM/ MBA. Final selection of Scholars will be made by considering both leadership behaviours (Stage 1: Online test) and personality factors (Stage 2: Interview) with a 50:50 weightage.
Notification: Final results will be announced on 30th October 2015.
