Teach For India is offering a fellowship program for students and professionals with a Bachelor’s Degree. It is a 2 year full-time paid program in which the most promising graduates and professionals are placed as full time teachers in under resourced and low income schools. Fellows will be paid a salary of Rs. 17,500 per month and in addition, fellows will receive an allowance for school supplies. The application deadlines are: October 27th 2015, December 8th 2015 and February 2nd 2016.

Eligibility: Students and professionals with a Bachelor’s Degree at the time of joining the Fellowship are invited to apply. The admission criteria to apply to the 2016 Teach For India Fellowship Program are:
-Minimum Qualification: You must have completed all coursework required for your undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree equivalent) from an accredited college or university by the last week of May 2016. Your degree transcripts (graduate/postgraduate certificates) will be reviewed before an admission decision can be taken. Applicants must also pass any coursework indicated in their transcripts at the time of the interview.
-Nationality: You should be either (i) an Indian citizen or (ii) a foreign national of Indian origin. Foreign citizens who are not of Indian origin are not eligible to apply. Note to Foreign nationals of Indian origin: For more information on the OCI card, please go to the Ministry of Home Affairs. To apply for the OCI card, please go to the Online OCI Registration Form. We recommend applying for the OCI card as soon as you have made the decision to join the Fellowship, as it takes approximately 1-3 months to receive the card.
– Commitment & Location: The Fellowship is a full-time, paid commitment to teaching and living in one of our placement cities (Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad or Ahmedabad, Bengaluru) starting May/June 2016. Fellows will be full-time staff members of the schools in which they are placed and will work stipulated school hours six days a week as well as attending training and support sessions as per city requirements.
-English Fluency: You should be fluent in the English language as Teach For India Fellows will be placed in English-medium schools and will be expected to teach in and attend training sessions conducted in English.
-Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for Teach for India Fellowship.

Duration of award(s): The Teach for India Fellowship is a two-year paid commitment.
What does it cover? Teach for India Fellows will be paid a salary of Rs. 17,500 per month. If required to relocate from their home city, fellows will be given a housing allowance ranging from Rs.5500 to 10,000, depending on the city in which they will stay. In addition, Fellows will receive an allowance for school supplies.

– The ability to work effectively in challenging environments
– Critical thinking ability
– Strong English communication skills
Notification: Applicant will first hear back from Teach For India within two weeks of the deadline that you applied for. For example, if you apply before the first deadline, that is, the 25th of August 2015, then you will hear back from us by mid-September with the result of your application.
How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. Teach for India will not accept hard-copy applications.

-Please note that you are not asked to submit a CV/Resume or Cover Letter/ Personal Statement as part of the application.
-Each applicant will be allowed only one application for the 2016 Fellowship.
-There will be no fees charged for filling and submitting the online application form.
