The Centre for International Education (SIU) awards scholarship for Norwegian students through Johan Jørgen Holst Memorial Fund, established in memory of former Foreign Minister Johan Jørgen Holst. Scholarship is awarded for undertaking bachelor’s degree in political science at Columbia College. Scholarship includes 10,000 dollars a year and will be awarded for up to three years. The application deadline is 1 March 2016.

Eligibility:
-The applicant must be a Norwegian citizen and living in Norway at the time of application.-The applicant must be a student at a Norwegian higher education institution and must have completed a minimum of one year (60 credits), a maximum of two years (120 credits) with studies in Norway in spring 2016.-The grant is limited to studies in political science (political science) at Columbia. Searching need not be a student at a BA in Political Science in Norway. Relevant subjects include social sciences and humanities, economics and languages.

Scholarship Description: Holst scholarship was established in memory of former Foreign Minister Johan Jørgen Holst and 10 000 dollars a year. The scholarship is awarded to one Norwegian student for up to three years of studies in political science at Columbia College in New York. Johan Jørgen Holst Memorial Fund provides support to a Norwegian student taking bachelor’s degree in political science at Columbia College, which is part of Columbia University in New York. This is the same degree as Holst even got in 1960.
