Swansea University offers College of Engineering Zienkiewicz PhD Scholarships in 2016-2017 academic session. Applicants of any nationality are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

University offers a number of general and subject-specific funding schemes. The aim of the scholarships is to attract the best and most motivated people to Swansea University.

The University’s foundation stone was laid by King George V on 19 July 1920. Swansea University has a clear vision to be a research-led university of international quality.

Applicants must prove their knowledge of the English language when you apply. This usually means passing a secure English language test (SELT).

Course Level: Scholarships are provided for PhD studies at Swansea University.

Study Subject: PhD scholarships are available within the college of engineering.

List of Subjects: Engineering or Sport and Exercise Science

Scholarship Award: The scholarship fund will be allocated to a range of students with variable scholarships. Some will be to pay tuition fees only, whereas in other areas full fees and a living cost stipend will be awarded.

Eligibility:These scholarships are open to students from the UK, EU and overseas.
-Applications for Zienkiewicz scholarships are extremely competitive. Please only apply if you hold, or expect to hold, a UK 1st class honours degree (or international equivalent)
 in engineering, maths, science, or sports and exercise science.
In addition to excellent academic results, applicants must be highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills and show clear potential as future research leaders.

Nationality: UK/EU and and international students can apply for these scholarships.

To be considered for postgraduate study you must satisfy the University’s general entry requirements as well as any specific requirements for your chosen programme.

Test Requirement: Not required

-A Resume (CV)
-A Personal Statement
-Copy of qualifications to date, ie degree certificate and transcripts
-English language score (IELTS,TOEFL etc) if available
These documents should be sent to the Admissions Office along with your application.

Once you have done this, please email the academic who you believe to be most suited to you with an expression of interest. You should do this by attaching your CV and academic transcript. You may also choose to submit a project proposal for their consideration. Applications to individual academics will then be considered as a group by the College Research Committee and successful candidates will be invited to submit a formal application to the University.
