The School of Clinical Sciences is pleased to offer up to ten scholarships to students for Msc in Clinical Management of Pain (Online Distance Learning) Programme. Applicants from UK can apply for this scholarship programme.

Scholarship Award: Each scholarship provides a one-off payment of £600 towards tuition fees.

Eligibility: Applicants have to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:
-Applicants must be intending to study the Msc Clinical Management of Pain (Online Distance Learning) in 2016-2017. Applicants intending to study the Pgcert or Pgdip element of this programme are eligible to apply.
-Applicants currently studying this programme in 2016-2017 are also eligible to apply if they intend to continue on this programme in 2016-2017.
Nationality: Applicants from UK can apply for this scholarship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: An undergraduate degree, with an excellent or very good classification (equivalent to first or upper second class honors in the UK), in medicine, nursing, dentistry, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, pharmacology or any other allied health care profession involved in the management of pain.
Test Requirements: The University accepts all of the English language qualifications listed below:
-IELTS International English Language Testing System.
-TOEFL-Ibt Internet based Test of English as a Foreign Language Test .
-PTE Pearson Test of English (Academic).
-CAE Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English.
-CPE Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
-Trinity ISE Trinity Integrated Skills in English.
English Language Requirements: All students of every nationality are required to prove their English language competence.
-Even native-speakers of English must demonstrate that they meet our minimum language requirements to gain entry to the University.
-Secure English Language Tests
-University accept all of the English language qualifications listed below for entry to the University, including IELTS qualifications from any IELTS test centre.
-Applicants who require an IELTS test as part of an application for degree-level studies may take this test at any IELTS centre.
-UKVI approved test centres
-Only applicants who require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK and are interested in the following programmes need to ensure that they have an IELTS test from a UKVI approved test centre:
-English language programmes delivered by our English Language Teaching Centre as preparation or degree entry Or
-Foundation Programme in Humanities and Social Sciences
Supporting Material: Applicants should also provide the following information within their application:
-Explain how your attainment of this degree will benefit your career (300 words)
-Explain how your attainment of this degree will benefit the service you work in (300 words)
-What is it about this programme that makes you want to study with the University of Edinburgh? (250 words)
-Each of the statements will be scored by three assessors, and applications with the highest score overall will be in contention. Where it is not possible to discern between high-quality applications, priority will be given to:
-Those who are in their first 10 years post-qualifying as a healthcare professional
-Those who have not previously received scholarships funds from the University of Edinburgh Clinical Management of Pain Programme.
How to Apply: Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application. Applicants who have not yet commenced their studies must first apply for admission for an eligible programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 30th June 2016.
