University of Edinburgh is inviting application for Glenmore Medical scholarship in Human Medical programmes. Scholarship is available for postgraduate full-time one year study.

The aim of the Robertson international scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students.

The University of Edinburgh is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities. The university’s mission is the creation, dissemination and curation of knowledge.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for postgraduate full-time one year study.

Study Subject: The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis on one of the listed eligible Human Medical programmes:

List of Subjects: MSc (by Research) Biomedical Sciences, MSc (by Research) Cardiovascular Biology, MSc Human Anatomy, MSc (by Research) Integrative Neuroscience, MMedSci Medical Sciences, MPH Public Health, MSc Regenerative Medicine: Clinical and Industrial Delivery, MSc (by Research) Reproductive Sciences and MSc Science Communication and Public Engagement

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will have a value of £21,200 and will be tenable for one academic year. The scholarship will cover tuition fees of up to £21,200 with any surplus paid as a stipend.

Eligibility: -The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis on one of the eligible Human Medical programmes.
-Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
-It is hoped that students would wish to return to the Developing World on completion of their studies where their work and furthered medical studies will benefit the area.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: All students of every nationality are required to prove their English language competence. Even native-speakers of English must demonstrate that they meet our minimum language requirements to gain entry to the university. University accepts all of the English language qualifications for entry to the university, including IELTS qualifications from any IELTS test centre. Applicants who require an IELTS test as part of an application for degree-level studies may take this test at any IELTS centre.

-Personal details;
-Details of any degrees you hold or expect to hold;
-A personal statement of no more than 300 words;
-Any additional information that applicants believe would assist us in evaluating their application;
-Details of any other scholarships or awards applicants hold or have held.
