University of Sheffield is pleased to offer range of scholarships to students of high academic ability for 2016 entry. Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to undertake MSc program at the university.
The University aims to assist international students who require financial assistance with scholarships.
The University of Sheffield was founded over a hundred years ago, founded on the aspirations and financial support of the people of Sheffield. The University is ranked 97th in the world and 15th in UK according to the 2015-16 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, a rise of three and 24 places respectively.
Applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree, or equivalent. Applicants may be required to take an internationally recognised English language test such as IELTS. You need IELTS 7.0 with no component below 6.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for international students to pursue MSc Program.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the University, all offering a diverse range of courses.
Scholarship Award: Seven scholarships available to exceptional candidates, offering a 50% reduction on the programme fee.

Eligibility: Scholarships will be awarded on merit. The general eligibility requirements are:
-Academic requirements – applicants should have a first or upper second class UK honours degree, or equivalent
-Allowed study options – applicants should have accepted an offer from the university to study on one of the full-time MSc programmes
-Personal criteria – applicants must have the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary to make an excellent contribution to the programme

How to Apply: The students considered to be the most outstanding, as decided by a committee consisting of the Postgraduate Admissions Director, one of the school’s Admissions Tutors and one of the MSc programme directors, will be awarded the scholarships.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 6th June 2016.
