ICFO is now accepting applications for postdoctoral fellowship programme. Candidates of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this position.
The present project sits at the frontier between nano-optics and quantum opto-mechanics and aims at combining the latest advances of both fields to design and experimentally study novel mechanical nano-oscillators with unique properties.
The main objective of the organisation is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.
The common language within ICFO is English however the local languages are Catalan and Spanish. The language training (Spanish, Catalan or English) offered within ICFO assists ICFOnians in developing and reinforcing communication abilities.
Course Level: Position is available for pursuing Postdoctoral programme.
Study Subject: Position is awarded in the field of Experimental Quantum Optomechanics.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this position:
-Candidates must hold an internationally recognized Ph.D.-equivalent degree (or evidence of its completion in the nearest future) preferably in Quantum Physics. Experience in atom or ion trapping is highly desired.
-The candidate should have a proven track record of excellence in academics and experimental research.
-No restrictions of citizenship or gender apply to the ICFO positions.
-The fellowship is offered for periods of one year, renewable for a total of up to 3 years. The annual renewal of the fellowship is conditional on satisfactory performance in research activities.
