The Printed and Molecular Electronics group at Italian Institute of Technology is pleased to offer PhD scholarships at Polytechnic University of Milan. These are open to Italian students for 2016-2017 academic year.

Italian Institute of Technology is a research institute that adopts the organizational model of a private law foundation. The objective for the institute is to promote excellence in basic and applied research and fostering Italy’s economic development.
Citizens of Countries in which English is an official language are not required to certify their knowledge of English; the same applies to applicants who have been awarded or will be awarded academic qualifications by an institute in which all teaching activity is carried out in English.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme at the Physics Engineering Department (three scholarships) and at the Electronics Engineering Department (one scholarships).
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for Printed and Molecular Electronics.
List of Subjects: Projects topics include:
a) High-frequency printed and direct-written organic and hybrid transistors;
b) High-resolution Charge-modulation Microscopy for charge transport investigation in polymer and hybrid transistors;
c) Doping of high mobility polymer semiconductors;
d) Solution processed hybrid-perovskites transistors.
Scholarship Award: Scholarships vary from € 1000 to € 1500, the amount depends on the proposed research topic. Scholarship holders receive a tuition fees waiver; they will have to pay a small administrative fee for registration (€ 185,58 per year).

Eligibility: Ideal candidates should be extremely motivated, hold a Master’s Degree in Material Science, Physics, Engineering or related subjects, have an outstanding academic record, besides strong communication and team-working skills.
Nationality: Applicants from Italy can apply for these PhD scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applications may be submitted by Italian and foreign students holding:
-a university degree obtained under the educational system in force prior to M.D. n. 509 dated 3.11.1999
-a Laurea Specialistica (equivalent to a Master of Science) obtained in accordance with M.D. n. 509 dated 3.11.1999
-a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to a Master of Science) obtained in accordance with M.D. n. 270 dated 22.10.2004
-or similar academic qualifications obtained abroad that are equivalent in terms of duration and contents to the Italian qualifications and previously recognised by the Judging Panels.
