University of Copenhagen is pleased to offer PhD fellowship in Computational Palaeogenomics for the year 2016. Danish as well as international applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD programme.
Study Subject: Fellowship is available in the field of Computational Palaeogenomics.
Scholarship Award: The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State. The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 309,109 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 42,699).

Eligibility: For consideration, applicants must have the following experience:
-Experience in the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data.
-Experience in bioinformatics manipulation of genomic and/or
metagenomic datasets.
-Formal training in bioinformatics and/or computation, including
programming in Bash as well as Python and/or Perl
-Good communication skills in English, both oral and written. CGG is
highly international research environment; good knowledge in English
is required.
-A master’s degree, including written thesis.
Nationality: Danish as well as International applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: The positions are available for 3-year periods for applicants holding a relevant master’s degree.
