Applications are invited for School of Social Sciences MSc Social Research Methods and Statistics Scholarship for the year 2016. Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this programme.

The UK’s Home Office requires that every student from outside the UK and the European Union (EU) must show evidence of a minimum level of English language (called B2 level) in order to be granted a UK visa (Tier 4 visa) to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing MSc programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Social Research Methods and Statistics.
Scholarship Award: Contribution to fee of £6,000 will be provided to the applicants.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship:
Applicants must have 2:1 or above (or overseas equivalent) in a Social Science subject (or closely related field).
Nationality: Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this programme.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have an Upper Second class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a social science discipline.
English language/ Test Requirements: -IELTS – overall score of 7, including 7 in writing with no further component score below 6.0
-TOEFL IBT – overall score of 100 with 25 in each section.
-TOEFL code for Manchester is 0757
-Scores are valid for 2 years.
-For students who require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, your test score is valid for 2 years preceding the date that your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is issued. CAS statements will be issued from June-September 2016.
