The Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences is looking for talented young scientists to pursue PhD programs.  Approximately 50 scholarships are available tenable from January 1, 2017.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue PhD program.

Study Subject: Fellowship is offered in Chemistry.

Scholarship Award: Successful Applicants will receive $26,288/annum + all tuition fees for 3 (PhD) or 4 (MRes/PhD bundle) years.

Scholarship can be taken at: Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia

Eligibility:

-An outstanding academic record
-A history of scholarships and prizes at the undergraduate level
-A Master’s Degree in chemistry or equivalent
-evidence of peer-reviewed research activity, such as publications, patents and/or conference presentations is advantageous.

Nationality: International applicants can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement [Course Admission Requirement]: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Chemistry.

Test Requirement [SAT, GRE, GMAT]: None

English Language Requirement [TOEFL/IELTS]:

– TOEFL (computer-based): Overall of 237 with no less than 19 in Listening, 19 in Reading; 25 in structure/Writing and TWE of 5.0; OR
– TOEFL (paper-based): Overall of 580 with 53 in Listening, 52 in Reading, 59 in Structure/Written Expression and TWE of 5.0;
or
– iBT (internet-based TOEFL): Overall score of 92 with 23 in Speaking, 18 in Listening, 17 in Reading and 22 in Writing;
or
– IELTS (academic version): Overall of 6.5 with minimum of 6.0 in each band

• – Academic transcript for all post-secondary study undertaken, complete or incomplete, including the institution grading scale
• – Award certificates for all completed post-secondary study
• – Evidence of English language proficiency
• – Three referee reports from persons who can best comment on your prior research experience
• – evidence of any prizes, awards, scholarships and the first page of any publications.
