Cardiff University is pleased to offer Studentship in Computational Catalytic Chemistry to undertake Ph.D. degree programme. The studentship is awarded to students of any nationality.

The overarching aim of establishing the Cardiff University was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.

Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).

Course Level: Studentship is awarded to undertake Ph.D. degree programme.

Study Subject: Studentship is awarded in Computational Catalytic Chemistry at Cardiff University.

Scholarship Award: This studentship consists of full UK/EU tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£14,057 p.a. for 2015/16, updated each year).

Eligibility: Criteria is

  • Academic criteria: Applicants for a studentship must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant subject, such as Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Applications are particularly welcome from applicants with a good first degree or Masters qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Residency: This studentship is open to students of any nationality. Students classified as international for fee purposes have to self-fund the difference between home and international fees.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants for a studentship must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant subject, such as Chemistry or a related subject.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).

How to Apply: In the first instance, applicants should submit a CV & Covering Letter to Professor Richard Catlow by emailing CatlowR-at-Cardiff.ac.uk. The successful candidate will then be invited to submit a standard application for Postgraduate Study via the Online Application Service.
