The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is pleased to offer Ph.D. Fellowships for the academic year. The fellowships are open to citizens of all nationalities for January 2017 intake.
SUTD is established in collaboration with MIT to advance knowledge and nurture technically grounded leaders and innovators to serve societal needs.
With strong research links to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University, the SUTD Ph.D. Programme offers a chance to collaborate with the best minds in their fields and conduct breakthrough research that will make a difference to the world.
Proficiency in English (IELTS or TOEFL is required if English is not student’s medium of instruction in their studies).
Course Level: Fellowships are available for pursuing full-time Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) programme.
Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded in the field of Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD), Engineering Product Development (EPD), Engineering Systems and Design (ESD) and Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD).
Scholarship Award:
SUTD President’s Graduate Fellowship (Ph.D.): Monthly stipend of
- S$3,500 (Singapore Citizens)
- S$3,200 (Singapore Permanent Residents)
- S$3,000 (International Students)
SUTD Ph.D. Fellowship: Monthly stipend of
- S$2,700, increased to $3,200 after passing Qualifying Exam (Singapore Citizens)
- S$2,200, increased to $2,700 after passing Qualifying Exam (Singapore Permanent Residents)
- S$2,000, increased to $2,500 after passing Qualifying Exam (International Students)
Scholarship can be taken in Singapore
Eligibility: Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree or above with excellent academic standing.
Nationality: Fellowships are open to citizens of all nationalities.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree or above with excellent academic standing.
Test Requirement: GRE scores report (Highly Recommended). If students have not taken the GRE, please arrange to take it soonest and send in the result within 2 weeks of the application deadline. Please note that the SUTD DI code is 7398.
