A 3-year Ph.D. scholarship is available at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, Section of Heart and Circulatory research with starting date August 1, 2016. Danish, as well as international applicants, are eligible to apply for this fellowship.

The university main objective is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

Copenhagen University’s goal is to carry out research of the highest quality, offering research-based education at the highest academic level and to disseminate new and traditional knowledge to the scientific community as to the surrounding community.

Applicants must have fluency in English and excellent communication skills.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing Ph.D. programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in cardiac arrhythmia.

Scholarship Award: The successful Ph.D. candidates will be offered full-time positions for a period of three years, contingent on a satisfactory performance, with the specific intent that it results in a Ph.D. degree and scientific publications. It is a prerequisite for the appointment as a Ph.D. fellow, that the person concerned can be registered as a Ph.D. fellow according to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Executive Order no 18 of 14. January 2008. Information about the Ph.D. programs at the Faculty of Health Science can be found at health science.ku.dk/phd/. Salary and other terms and conditions of appointment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant professional organisation.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship:
Motivated candidates are encouraged to apply. The candidate must hold a relevant Master degree or its equivalent.

Nationality: Danish, as well as international applicants, are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

English language Requirements: Applicants must have fluency in English and excellent communication skills.

Applications must be written in English and include (i) a motivation for the application (up to 1 A4 page), (ii) curriculum vitae, (iii) list of publications, (iv) a copy of MSc diploma and grade transcripts and (v) Other information for consideration, e.g. recommendation letter.
