Applications are invited for a three-year Ph.D. scholarship within the framework of collaboration between the FEMTO-ST Institute in Besançon and Laboratory of Astrophysics (LAM) in Marseille in France.
The FEMTO-ST Institute (Franche-Comté Electronics Thermal and Mechanical Optical – Science and Technology, UMR 6174) is a joint research unit , born on 1 January 2004 from the merger of five laboratories of Franche-Comté, forming its initial departments .
The Astrophysics Laboratory of Marseille is one of the most important public research institutes in France and combines basic research in astrophysics and technological research in instrumentation.
Applicants need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing Ph.D. programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing.
Scholarship Award: The scholarship is valued at about 1,740€ gross per month for three years. Application to a room on the campus is possible for a low rate.
Scholarship can be taken in the France
Eligibility: Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree and a master in Pure or Applied Mathematics including a good background in Partial Differential Equations.
Nationality: Applicants from France can apply for this Ph.D. scholarship.
