National University of Ireland, Galway is offering scholarships to pursue full-time taught masters (MA) program within the School of Humanities. Scholarships are open to EU students.
The School of Humanities, NUI Galway has established a Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme to support and facilitate students wishing to register for selected full-time taught master program within the School of Humanities in the academic year 2016–2017.
NUI Galway is the largest and oldest university in the West of Ireland and is ranked among the Top 2% of universities in the world and recognised as being one of the best universities for their international outlook.
All applicants, whose first language is not English, must present IELTS, TOEFL or Pearson PTE scores.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time taught masters (MA) program within the School of Humanities.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the following subjects: Arts Policy and Practice, English, Film and Theatre, Film Studies – Theory and Practice, History, Irish Studies – Literature and History, Medieval Studies/Old and Middle Irish, Playwriting and Dramaturgy, Screenwriting and Theatre Practice and Production.
Scholarship Award: The total value of the scholarship will be €1,500 each.
Scholarship can be taken in Ireland
Eligibility: In order to be eligible for the award of a scholarship, students must:
- Be accepted onto one of the full-time taught masters program listed on the university’s website for the academic year 2016/17
- Have a minimum 2.1 primary or secondary degree or its equivalent
- Not be in receipt of scholarships under the NUI Galway, Fulltime Taught Postgraduate Masters Scholarship Scheme 2016
- Scholarships will be awarded to the top 20 students who meet the eligibility criteria set out above, while no more than 2 awards will be made for any one of the programs. Judgements will be made on the basis of the entire application dossier of the applicant.
Nationality: These scholarships are open to EU students.

English Language Requirement: Requirement: All applicants, whose first language is not English, must present one of the following qualifications in the English language.

TOEFL- 88
Pearson PTE- 88

How to Apply: All applicants who have received and accepted an offer on one of the full-time taught postgraduate masters program listed on the university’s website by 5th August 2016 will be considered for an award. Applications received after that date will not be considered.
