Applications are invited for collaborative Ph.D. projects between the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Warsaw, Poland and international partners. Candidates for Bio4Med International Ph.D. program must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Poland for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.
The Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology is a Polish scientific research organisation and a part of Polish Academy of Sciences headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. Founded in 1918, it is a leading institution in the country in the field of neurobiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
Course Level: Position is available for pursuing Ph.D. program.
Study Subject: Bio4Med – Precision medicine-guided synthetic lethality to eradicate quiescently and proliferating leukaemia stem cells: molecular mechanisms and therapeutic applications.
Scholarship can be taken in the Poland
Eligibility: Accomplished Master degree in biotechnology, biology or related studies, experience in cellular biology is required. Candidate should have high motivation and dedication to work in science as well as determination to solve scientific problems; should be able to work independently and as a part of the team. Good command of English (both, oral and written) is necessary. Previous experience in the laboratory work is necessary. Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Poland for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.
Nationality: Applicants from Poland can apply for this Ph.D. position.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a master degree in biotechnology, biology or related studies; experience in cellular biology is required.
English Language Requirement: Good command of English (both, oral and written) is necessary.

Note: The selection process will be conducted by the Recruitment Committee established by the Director of the Nencki Institute. Short-listed candidates with the highest score will be selected for personal interviews. Interviews will take place at the Nencki Institute in mid-July2016. The results of the competition will be announced in July 2016.
