TIK Centre for Technology, Innovation and Culture, University of Oslo (UiO), invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Innovation Studies. Norwegian applicants can apply for the fellowship.
The purpose of the appointment is research training leading to the successful completion of a postdoctoral programme.
The University of Oslo is the oldest, largest and most prestigious university in Norway, located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. UiO attracts students and researchers from all over the world.
Candidates must have a PhD in innovation studies (or relevant related disciplines within the social sciences). Only candidates who have submitted their doctoral thesis prior to the application closing date may apply for the position.
Course Level: Fellowship is available for a postdoctoral programme at the University of Oslo in Norway.
Study Subject: Fellowship is tenable in Innovation Studies: Innovative Value Chains for Organic Waste Products at University of Oslo.

Eligibility:
- Candidates must have a PhD in innovation studies (or relevant related disciplines within the social sciences). Only candidates who have submitted their doctoral thesis prior to the application closing date may apply for the position. A prerequisite for taking up the position is the successful completion of a doctoral degree.
- In addition to relevant educational background, successful candidates must have documented knowledge and strong interest in the development of innovation research theoretically (e.g. theoretical modelling and simulation analysis), as well as demonstrated experience in relevant areas of empirical research (quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis). Documented knowledge of the organic waste industry and value chain is meritorious for the position. Applicants must have excellent written and oral proficiency in English. Knowledge of Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language) is preferable.
- In the application letter, the candidates should describe their intellectual background and qualifications, indicating the main theoretical approaches, empirical tools and publishing goals of their work to date, and outline how their background applies to the announced position as part of the SusValueWaste project.
- In assessing applications, particular emphasis will be placed upon the candidates’ research results and academic potential, as well as her/his academic and personal suitability to contribute to the project within the given timeframe. Interviews will be held with a few selected candidates.
Nationality: Norwegian applicants can apply for the fellowship.

How to Apply: The electronic application should include:
- Application letter
- CV (summarizing education, positions, pedagogical experience, administrative experience and other qualifying activity)
- Project description and progress plan (no more than 5 pages) for the work to be undertaken during the course of the term of appointment. The proposed project should be closely related to the SusValueWaste project description.
- A complete list of publications
Academic publications should not be submitted at this time. After the first stage of the review process an expert committee will invite the most appropriate candidates to submit up to three academic publications that the applicant wishes to have considered in the assessment process.
