The Centre for Global Health at the The Institute of Health and Society (Helsam) is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow candidate with substantial experience in migrant medicine who will contribute to make migrant medicine a strong interdisciplinary research field.
The aim of the scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students.
The University of Oslo, is the oldest, largest and most prestigious university in Norway, located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. UiO attracts students and researchers from all over the world.
Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian PhD.
Course Level: Fellowship is provided for the postdoctoral programme at the University of Oslo.
Study Subject: Fellowship is tenable in Migrant Medicine at the University of Oslo in Norway.
Scholarship Award:

Scholarship can be taken in Norway
Eligibility: Applicants must have a PhD in migrant medicine and/or a track record in migrant medicine/migrant health, the ability and willingness to work across disciplines, including social sciences and humanities (having applied quantitative and qualitative methods in the past is an asset), the ability and willingness to proactively and independently write grant proposals for migrant medicine/health including other disciplines relevant for migrant health as well as the ability and willingness to supervise PhD and Masters students within the applicant’s research area.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian PhD
- A medical degree and preferably a finished medical specialty training (e.g. internal medicine, neurology or mental health)
- A strong command of English, written and spoken, is necessary.
Personal Skills
- Personal suitability and co-operation skills will receive special attention in the selection process. Selected applicants will be called for an interview.
- It is anticipated that the Fellow exhibit good collaborative abilities, is interested in interdisciplinary collaboration, can work independently and is flexible.
Nationality: Norwegian applicants can apply for the fellowship.
