Applications are invited for Up to 17 PhD Foreign Scholarships under the project ‘Faculty Development Programme’ at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan. Pakistani students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

BZU seeks to develop students of faith, intellect, and character who have the skills and the desire to continue learning and to serve others throughout their lives.

Multan has always remained a centre of excellence in education. Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (1172 – 1262 A.D.), a Muslim religious scholar and saint, established a school of higher learning in theology in Multan; where scholars from all over the world came for studies and research. Multan has maintained its central position and centuries-old cultural heritage and therefore suited ideally to become a centre of learning.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue PhD programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in Banking & Finance, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, Pol. Sc./Ir, Computer Science, English, Electrical Engineering, Commerce, Fine Arts.

Number of Scholarships: Up to 17 scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in Pakistan

Eligibility: Following eligibility criteria as per HEC guidelines will be observed for the applicants:-

• Pakistani/AJK nationals.
• Not less than 50% marks in the entire academic career.
• Only one-second division prior to the last degree is allowed.
• No third division/ grade D in the entire academic career.
• Maximum age on closing date of the application;
  a) 40 years for full-time regular faculty members of public & private sector universities/R&D organisations and faculty members of public sector colleges only.
  b) 35 years for all others.

• Must not be availing any other scholarship currently.
• Those candidates who have applied to other HEC scholarship programs but have not yet availed that scholarships may apply for these scholarships also.
• The successful candidate will execute a bond with Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan to the effect that he/ she shall serve the BZU for a minimum period of five years after completion of his/ her PhD.
• The candidate will have to qualify the GAT test.
• The Selected Scholars will have to seek admission in Top 500 QS Ranked universities of the World preferably with minimum or low tuition fee.

Nationality: Pakistani students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must be not less than 50% marks in the entire academic career.

English language Requirements: The candidate will have to qualify the GAT test.
