The KIMEP University is offering international scholarships for graduate students for the 2017-2018 academic year. Two scholarships in the form of 100% of tuition coverage and six scholarships in the form of 50% of tuition coverage for each program

KIMEP University is an institution of higher education in Almaty, Kazakhstan. KIMEP is a private, non-profit university offering credit-based, North American-style bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree curricula.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: 100% and 50% tuition coverage
Number of Scholarships: 2 scholarships with 100% and 4 scholarships with 50% of tuition coverage
Scholarship can be taken in: Kazakhstan
Eligibility: Applicants must have completed graduate degree programme.
Nationality: Any foreign citizenship, except for Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
English Language Requirement:
- English language: Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Programm (TOEFL ITP – at least 460 pounts), Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Programm Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT, threshold score – at least 87), (TOEFL threshold score – at least 560 points), International English Language Tests System (IELTS, threshold score – at least 6.0);
- German language: Deutsche Sprachprufung fur den Hochschulzugang (DSH, Niveau ?1/ level ?1), TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau C1/level ?1);
- French language: Test de Français International™ (TFI – at least level B1 in reading and listening), Diplome d’Etudes en Langue français? (DELF, level ?2), Diplome Approfondi de Langue français? (DALF, level ?1), ?est de connaissance du français (TCF – at least 400 points).
How to Apply: To tick the particular field in the Financial Aid part of the Application for Admission, and to submit the application and required documents to the KIMEP University Admissions Office. Required documents for graduate program applicants
- Application form (online, downloadable form);
- Copy of passport or of State ID
- 8 color matt photos of 3×4 cm size;
- Copy of a document on higher education (Bachelor degree or its equivalents) — diploma and transcript;
- Document confirming employment (for persons having employment records) – copy of personnel records book; if not available – CV;
- Two recommendation letters for LLM program; one recommendation letter for MPA and MIR programs;
- Medical documents;
- If available:
Valid results of International Language Proficiency Tests (copy of IELTS certificate or original certificates of TOEFL, DSH, TestDaF, TFI, DELF, DALF, TCF, Cambridge English Exam, etc.)
List of research and scientific-methodical works
- Upon own discretion, an applicant may include other documents he/she believes to be relevant for inclusion into the application package, such as copies of certificates, awards, and honors in the applicant’s sphere of interest, in particular ones received at national and international levels. Applicants who plan to pass the state Entrance examination in foreign, Kazakh and Russian language have to submit the following documents, not later than one day before the exam registration deadline;
- SFLT Exam taker’s application form (from Admission Office)
- Original of the exam fee payment check payable to the National Testing Center
- Copy of state ID, if only a copy of passport was submitted earlier (requirement for Kz citizens only)
Application Deadline: The application deadline for 1st intake is April 2017, 2nd intake is August 2017.
