Applications are invited for three PhD NutriGen project funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine based at UCD Lyons Research Farm. These scholarships are awarded in the field of Dairy and Grassland.

The aim of the PhD scholarships is to enable and encourage academically able students from Ireland.

UCD  Lyons  Research Farm develop and apply the science and scholarship of agriculture, food, environmental sciences and rural development for the benefit of society through excellence in education, research, innovation and continuing professional development.

Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue PhD.

Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in the field of Dairy and Grassland.

Scholarship Award: The PhD award provides a stipend of €24,000 per annum. University fees are paid by the student from the stipend. The successful candidates will register with the School of Agricultural Science and Food Science and the School of Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin for a PhD degree.

Numbers of Scholarships: Three scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in Ireland

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following area for these scholarships:

  • Candidates should have a minimum upper second-class honours degree in agricultural science/veterinary medicine.

Nationality: Irish applicants can apply for these scholarships.
