Morrison Scholarships for Architecture at Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland, 2017

DIT Foundation and the Dublin School of Architecture at DIT are delighted to announce the launch of the 2017/2018 Sir Richard Morrison Scholarships. A scholarship of €3,000 will be awarded to one student in each of the five years of Architecture and 4 years of Architectural Technology.

The Sir Richard Morrison Scholarship Scheme was established by Lieutenant Colonel Charles Colquhoun Morrison who bequeath a sum of money ‘to provide scholarships for students of Architecture’ in memory of his relation, Sir Richard Morrison.

Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is one of the largest and most innovative institutions of higher education in Ireland. They have 21,000 students enrolled in over 400 full-time and part-time career-focused programmes.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing the undergraduate programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Architecture.

Scholarship Award: A scholarship of €3,000 will be awarded to one student in each of the five years of Architecture and 4 years of Architectural Technology.

Number of Scholarships: Only one scholarship is available.

Scholarship can be taken in Ireland

Eligibility: Eligible students must:

  • Be a registered full-time student in Architecture or Architectural Technology at DIT including final year students.
  • Have demonstrated academic excellence within the current academic year.

Nationality: Students from Ireland are eligible to apply.

How to Apply: Applications must include:

  • Portfolio (max. 20 pages)
  • 1000 word personal statement outlining why you should receive the award, including references to your academic achievements and engagement with Architecture/Architectural Technology beyond the classroom
  • Applicant details: Name, student number, email address, mobile number, course title & course year.

Submissions must be made by email and no more than one attached document. Please ensure the document is not too big in size (aim for 5 – 10 MB)

  • Send your application by email. Please ensure you receive acknowledgement of your application email within 24 hours.

  • Each of the 9 successful applicants will be notified at the End of Year show on Friday, June 9th.
