IT Sligo is inviting postgraduate research applications for the Allergan Innovation Award 2017.
Institute of Technology Sligo is a state-funded third-level educational institution situated in the town of Sligo, Ireland. The Institute has three Schools and nine Departments.
Course Level: Award is available for postgraduate research project.
Study Subject: This opportunity will provide successful candidates with the support for a postgraduate research project in the discipline areas of Dermatology and Aesthetics, Central Nervous System, Eye Care, Women’s Health and Urology, Gastroenterology, Cardiovascular Disease and Infectious Diseases, and related areas in Biopharmaceutical Science and Bioprocessing.
Scholarship Award:
- The Allergan Innovation Award (7500 euro) will be used to provide consumables and related support to one new research postgraduate student during their research at Level 9 or level 10 at IT Sligo studying in the discipline areas of Dermatology and Aesthetics, Central Nervous System, Eye Care, Women’s Health and Urology, Gastroenterology, Cardiovascular Disease and Infectious Diseases, and related areas in Biopharmaceutical Science and Bioprocessing.
- The Institute will provide matched funding in the form of, and to the extent of, a waiver of
registration and tuition fees for 2 years.
Scholarship can be taken in Ireland
Eligibility: The Allergan Innovation Award may be used as follows: research materials and equipment, external placement in another Higher Education Institution as part of the postgraduate study, travel and attendance at research conference(s), publication costs, or other specific related costs identified in the application. The applicant must be registered as an IT Sligo research postgraduate for the duration of the award. The award must be completely used within two calendar years of registration.
Nationality: Students from Ireland are eligible to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.
How to Apply: Applicants must complete their Allergan Innovation Award application and forward this to the Research Office at IT Sligo. Applicants must attach a current C.V. for the candidate student and the proposed supervisor.
Application Deadline: The closing date for applications is August 1, 2017.
