.Jengno: Innovation and Technology Scholarship at Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2018

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is awarding Innovation and Technology Scholarship to pursue an undergraduate degree. There are twenty-five scholarships are awarded in the field of science.

The Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme aims to provide recognition to outstanding undergraduates in universities in Hong Kong as well as opportunities to widen their international/Mainland exposure and gain industry experience.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.

Scholarship Description:

Application Deadline: December 28, 2017
Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue an undergraduate degree.
Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in the field of science.
Scholarship Award: Twenty-five science undergraduates, to be nominated by the six local universities and selected by an Awardee Selection Committee of the Scheme, will each be awarded a scholarship of up to HK$150,000 for a series of learning programmes.
Number of Scholarships: Twenty-five scholarships are available.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

Eligible Countries: Hong Kong
Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet following criteria:

Full-time non-final-year undergraduates;
Hong Kong Permanent Residents with the right of abode in Hong Kong;
Undertaking a science-related degree funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC). In general, they cover (i) Sciences; (ii) Engineering and Technology; and (iii) Medicine and Health Professions. Only students taking BSc, BEng, MBChB, BNurs, BPharm or Bachelor of Chinese Medicine programmes are eligible;
Preferably with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 (or equivalent) or above;
With a minimum total TOEFL score of 90 (Internet-based test) OR a minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5. Test must be taken on or after 10 February 2016; and
Have not previously received an award under this Scheme.
