SoC Design Lab Postdoctoral and PhD Position at Chosun University in South Korea, 2018

The SoC Design Lab, Dept. of Information and Communication Engineering, Chosun University is currently accepting applications for PhD programs and postdoctoral program (with full fund) to study in South Korea. Any international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

The objective of this lab is to create enthusiastic, creative young stars for the global challenges in the world of bio implantable sensing devices, which is now the necessary part of medical diagnosis.

Chosun University has played an important role in recruiting international students in post-graduation programme since last few decades. With its innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum and a rigorously selected cohort of young scholars from around the world, IT faculty is serving to enhance the educational excellence at Chosun University.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Application deadline: December 31, 2017
  • Course Level: This position is available to pursue PhD and Postdoc programme.
  • Study Subject: Position is awarded for the following programs:
  • PhD: Analog circuit design for IT related Area.
  • Postdoc: Analog Circuit Design for IT related Area (Must be experienced in Analog Circuit Design, especially PLL).
  • Scholarship Award: Amount of this position:
  • PhD: Fully financial support of tuition fees and living expenses (Stipend).
  • Postdoc: Over 3,000USD (Monthly Stipend)
  • Nationality: Any International Students
  • Number of Scholarships: Numbers not given.
  • Scholarship can be taken at Chosun University, South Korea

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

Eligible Countries: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirements:

Eligibility (PhD):

An applicant and his/her parents must have foreign citizenship and come under each of the following:

  1. a) Graduated or is going to graduate from master’s program in a foreign country (Dept. of Electronic Eng., Computer Science Eng., Information and Communication Eng., and IT related Eng.)
  2. b) Must have minimum IBT 80 or IELTS 6.0
  3. c) Must have superior CGPA

Eligibility (Postdoc):

An applicant and his/her parents must have foreign citizenship and come under each of the following:

1) Must have a PhD degree in a foreign country(Dept. of Electronic Eng., Computer Science Eng., Information and Communication Eng., and IT related Eng.)

2) Have minimum IBT 80 or IELTS 6.0

3) Have superior CGPA

English Language Requirements: Test Requirement [SAT, GRE, GMAT]: N/A

English Language Requirement [TOEFL/IELTS]: Must have minimum IBT 80 or IELTS 6.0 (Applicable for PhD and Postdoc).

Housing: Every accepted professor and PhD researcher may live in university housing (dormitory) or outside university

The period for Postdoc: 1) 1-year starting Mar. 1 or Apr. 1 of 2018.

2) After 1-year can be selected as Post-doctor position continuously.
