Eligibility

Eligible Countries: Domestic students are eligible to apply.
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The sponsorship will be awarded to study in any undergraduate and postgraduate degree offered by the university.
Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

For Singapore DigitalScholarship (Polytechnic)

  • Be a Singapore Citizen;
  • Possess good ‘O’ level results;
  • Have an excellent Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) record;
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in ICM

For Singapore DigitalScholarship (Undergraduate):

  • Have a good Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) record
  • Possess a strong interest in a career in the ICM industry
  • Commence university studies within one year of the award (i.e. commence studies latest by Academic Year 2020 for 2019 awardees)
  • For Full Scholarship – A/IB/IP Level or Polytechnic diploma holder pursuing an ICM-related degree at a local or overseas university.
  • For Mid-Term Scholarship – existing undergraduate pursuing an ICM-related degree at a local or overseas university with minimally one academic year of study remaining from point of award.

Eligible courses -:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) studies including Computer Science / Business and IT / Computational Biology / Financial Informatics / Information Security / Analytics / Applied Sciences etc.
  • Media-related courses in Animation / Broadcast / Film / Games, Interactive Media / Publishing (including Content Creation related courses in English, Mandarin, Malay & Tamil)

For Singapore Digital Scholarship (Postgraduate):

  • Male applicants must have completed National Service
  • Currently enrolled in an ICM-related program in a local autonomous university or approved institution, or enrolled full-time in a renowned overseas university or commencing studies within one year of the award
  • Current students must have minimally one academic year of study remaining from the point of award
  • Online/Distance Learning courses and Part-time PhD programs are not eligible
  • Not a recipient of, or hold any other scholarship or other awards of a monetary nature [excluding bursary and financial aid]
  • Priority will be given to non-public officers. Public officers are encouraged to apply for in-house schemes available in their organizations

For Singapore DigitalScholarship (Polytechnic):

  • Successful applicants will be given support for:
  • Full tuition fees and compulsory polytechnic fees;
  • One-time laptop allowance;
  • Course* and Certification* sponsorship support;
  • Overseas Competitions, Study trips, Student Exchanges; and
  • Overseas Internships, covering:
    • Travel related expenses, i.e. economy class airfare, visa application fees, travel and medical insurance (where mandatory); and
    • Cost of living allowances (COLA).

For Singapore DigitalScholarship (Undergraduate):

  • Tuition and other compulsory university fees
  • Annual living allowance and a one-time computer allowance
  • Hostel fees
  • Medical insurance and visa fees, etc. where mandatory
  • Funding support for courses and certifications beyond the school curriculum
  • Support for overseas experiences including overseas internships, student exchange programs, and competitions

For Singapore Digital Scholarship (Postgraduate):

Successful applicants will be given support for:

  • Tuition and other compulsory university fees
  • Annual living allowance and/or stipend*
  • Thesis allowance
  • Medical insurance, visa fees, etc. where mandatory
  • Funding support for courses and certifications beyond the school curriculum
  • Support for overseas experiences* including overseas internships, student exchange programs, and competitions
  • For PhD studies: Conference allowances, travel allowances, and book allowances
