Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree programme in either the College of Science or the College of Engineering & Computer Science.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • Must be enrolled or enrolling full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of Information Science relevant to the Agriculture domain, based in the either the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science; and
  • Students who will be undertaking research for CSIRO / ANU projects under a Collaboration Agreement; and
  • Has demonstrated First class honours (H1), or equivalence; and
  • Have signed a Student Agreement with CSIRO, unless otherwise agreed in writing with CSIRO; and
  • Must not be in full-time employment; and
  • Students who is the recipient of an AGRTP or equivalent HDR base stipend, or is approved to hold this Award as a bridging scholarship.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the opportunity s, applicants must take admission in a PhD degree programme at the Australian National University.   • Supporting Documents: Must provide: a) a brief outline of the project, demonstrating alignment with the chosen project topic; b) discuss how their skills and knowledge meet the project requirements; c) outline their longer-term career aspirations and how this program will help to achieve them; and d) provide the names and contact details of two academic referees.
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic merit, quality, and relevance of the proposed project, referee reports.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof.
