The University of Western Australia is happy to announce the Winthrop International Scholarships in Australia for all brilliant students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. The programme is available for the academic year 2020-2021.

To encourage and assist eligible high-achieving Year 12 students to commence and undertake undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia.

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Undergraduate Degree Programme in Physical Sciences and Mathematics, Engineering, Education, Architecture, Design and Planning, Business and Law, Data and Technology, Music, Visual and Performing Arts, Life, Agriculture and Environmental Science, Health and Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Must have applied through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) whilst in Year 12 for a place at the University and recommend a course at the University as their first preference in the first round of offers.
  • Must have accomplished an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of at least 99.90.
  • Must have been selected for a UWA Fogarty foundation grant and achieve the required ATAR as outlined in their conditional letter of offer 2.
  • Must have attained other academic or outstanding achievement as per the Coursework Scholarships Committee.

  • How to Apply: Interested participants are required to apply online for the Winthrop international awards programme at the University. After that, Eligible candidates will be automatically considered for the opportunity and do not need to apply.
  • Supporting Documents: To be considered for the programme applicant must meet the documents required at the University.
  • Admission Requirements: For taking admission, students must have to check the undergraduate degree programme entry requirements.
