Arizona State University with edX is offering online freshman level courses. ASU has created Global Freshman Academy that offers courses for Incoming Freshman, Returning Freshman and Educators and lifelong learners. The Global Freshman Academy is designed to offer full university freshman level courses for credit. As other mergers of edX this partnership also is established to provide quality higher education opportunities to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Students have to pay only when they know they have passed the course to reduce financial risk.
