Cardiff University is inviting applications for PhD studentship in law and politics. This studentship is open to students of any nationality. Students classified as international for fee purposes have to self-fund the difference between home and international fees. This studentship consists of full UK/EU tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£14,057 p.a. for 2015/16, updated each year). Additional funding of the value £500 for travel, conferences and IT equipment is available. The application deadline is 31 August 2015.

Eligibility: -Residency: This studentship is open to students of any nationality. Students classified as international for fee purposes have to self-fund the difference between home and international fees.
Academic criteria: Applicants for a studentship must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a 2.1 degree or higher in law, politics or a related discipline. Successful applicants would normally have completed a relevant masters degree containing an element of research methods training.

Scholarship Description: Cardiff School of Law and Politics is offering two PhD studentships to commence in the autumn of 2015. The studentships offer full financial support (Home/EU fees and stipend) on RCUK standard terms. We seek applications from strongly qualified candidates (normally with at least a good 2:1 in law, politics or a related discipline). Successful applicants would normally have completed a relevant masters degree containing an element of research studies training. The successful candidates will be engaged within the growing community of PhD students in Law and Politics at Cardiff.

Number of award(s):  Two studentships are available.

Duration of award(s): Studentships are offered for three years.
