Swansea University is inviting applications for Psychology: Fully-funded PhD Studentship: Nutrition and Behaviour. Scholarship Description: The College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University, invites applications for a fully funded PhD studentship, based within the Department of Psychology. The studentship will commence on the 1st October 2015. Previous research at Swansea has found that nutrition influences mood and cognition. However, little is known about the mechanisms involved. This studentship will systematically explore a range of physiological, psychological and/or environmental factors that may mediate/moderate the effects of diet on cognition and mood.  Examples include postprandial hormone release, genetic polymorphisms, psychophysiological parameters, neurophysiology, sensory properties of food, expectations, arousal and/or testing conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate tutorials, practical demonstrating and assessment.
