BRAC University is accepting applications for WHO TDR International Postgraduate Scholarship for its 12th batch of Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme beginning in January 2016. Ten (10) scholarships will be offered for the 2016-2017 academic year. It is a 12-month full-time programme which promotes problem-based experiential learning. The application deadline is August 31, 2015.

Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded to conduct a six month research on implementation issues in the home country following graduation.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate programme.
Scholarship Provider: The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR)
Scholarship can be taken at: Bangladesh

Eligibility:
-Nationals/Residents from low- and middle income countries of WHO South-East Asia and West Pacific regions.
-Applicants should normally be under 35 years of age for TIPS
-Meet the following standard University requirements

Scholarship Description: The James P. Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) at BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladeshis accepting applications for WHO TDR International Post Graduate Training Scheme (TIPS) for its 12th batch of Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme beginning in January 2016. It is a 12-month full-time programme which promotes problem-based experiential learning. The scheme, which is provided by TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases based at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, provides full scholarship. Candidates from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) of WHO South-East Asia and West Pacific regions are eligible to apply.

Number of award(s): Ten (10) scholarships will be offered for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Duration of award(s): It is a 12-month full-time programme which promotes problem-based experiential learning.

What does it cover? The scholarship covers:
-One return economy airfare between the home country of the student and Bangladesh;
-Tuition fees and a basic medical and accident insurance;
-Allowance toward recommended learning materials (e.g. text-books, laptop) ? Support for Summative Learning Project (SLP);
-English language course and cultural competence to improve integration in the MPH Programme and overall learning environment of JPGSPH;
-Monthly stipend to cover living expenses equivalent to local living cost.

Selection Criteria: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for assessment. Qualified candidates will be asked for written test and viva. Finally selected students will be required to confirm acceptance of the offer submitting a Statement of Undertaking as per the regulation of BRAC University.

Notification: Short listing of eligible candidates for assessment September 10, 2015
