There is a PhD scholarship available in the J Kenyon Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Science and the Law (MI) at the University of Edinburgh. The topic of the PhD research project must be within the broad areas and themes of the Mason Institute. Scholarships can be awarded to those who have already started their PhD, as well as those who are completing their MSc and are intending to apply for a PhD in the relevant school. The scholarship amount is £2,000 per annum for three years of a full-time PhD (total award £6,000) or £1,000 per annum for six years of a part-time PhD (total award £6,000). Selection Criteria: The first step is to ensure that you have registered (or have applied) for a PhD in the relevant school. The second step is the completion of this form and a supporting paper of up to 1,000 words (including footnotes) on how your research would help interdisciplinary working between one or more relevant disciplines, the quality and rigour of which will be assessed. Your paper must be your own original work, and you should not have used it in any other context. It will be judged on its academic merit.

3. Send the completed application form to law.pgscholarships-at-ed.ac.uk
4. After you have applied you will receive an email notification to confirm receipt of your application. You will not receive any further communications until the deadline for the scholarship has passed and all the applications have been assessed.
