INIAP (National Agricultural Research Institute) is offering research technician position (early 2016) to conduct bioinformatic analysis in the area of agriculture in the context of a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will participate in the design and development of research projects and writing of research articles. Research position is located in Estación Experimental Santo Domingo of National Agricultural Research Institute (INIAP) at Santo Domingo province (La Concordia) working with the Department of Plant Protection and the Programs of Oil Palm and Rubber Tree Programms. Moreover, collaborative works will be done also with other INIAP research stations.
Government of Ecuador created the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIAP), in order to find solutions to the growing problems affecting agricultural production and the development model adopted. However, due to lack of resources, only in 1961 the Institute began its research on a farm of Public Assistance, which then became the Santa Catalina Experimental Station.
Course Level: This is a one-year research technician position.
Study Subject: Position is available to conduct bioinformatic analyses in the area of agriculture in the context of a collaborative environment.
Scholarship Award: EESD-INIAP offers a dynamic and responsible position for one year with a salary corresponding to SP4 (Public Service of Ecuador) and career development in an ambitious and internationally recognized agiculture research institution.

Eligibility: In order to apply for scholarship, you must follow the given criteria:
-Master degree in Biostadistics. Bachelor degree in -Biostaditiscs is also considered.
-Preferably with 1-2 years of work experience in agriculture resarch.
-Demonstrated and thorough experience in the design of agriculture experiments and data analysis.
-Innovative, ambitious and enthusiastic personality with strong communication skills in English and good knowledge of Spanish.
