University of Edinburgh offers a Mary Orr Paterson scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic session. Applicants of Czech Republic, Poland, Russia or Slovakia are eligible to apply for this scholarship. This is awarded to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate degree program.

The scholarship is awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit and primarily to citizens from the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia or Slovakia who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a programme of study within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and whose personal circumstances would make accepting an offer from the University difficult.
Nationality: Students of Czech Republic, Poland, Russia or Slovakia can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement: The entry requirements are a UK 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent (link is external) in computer science, physics, informatics, mathematics, engineering or chemistry and experience in computer programming. Applicants who have equivalent work experience may also be considered.
English Language Requirements: All students of every nationality are required to prove their English language competence. Even native-speakers of English must demonstrate that they meet our minimum language requirements to gain entry to the University. University accept all of the English language qualifications for entry to the University, including IELTS qualifications from any IELTS test centre. Applicants who require an IELTS test as part of an application for degree-level studies may take this test at any IELTS centre.
Supporting Material: -In order to be considered for the programmes, you are required to send the completed application form, two references, copies of degree transcripts, degree certificate and English Language qualification.

However, if you have not yet received your English language qualification or final results from your academic institution, you can still apply and send these documents at a later date.
